How much sand is in 1 cubic meter volume?

Calculations of quantity of sand in 1 meter cube is very easy if you know following three basic things

  1. Formula: Weight = density x volume
  2. Density of sand
  3. Unit conversation

So,

Weight of sand= Density of sand x Volume of sand

here, Volume of sand =1 cubic meter

Assume, Bulk density of sand = 1650 kg/m^3

Weight = 1650 x 1 = 1650 kg

Bulk density of sand is in the range of 1520 – 1680 kg/cum.

Therefore we need 1520 to 1680 kg per cubic meter

 1 m^3=35.3147 CFT

Quantity of sand in CFT = 1/35.3147 = 0.0283 CFT
